HSS UK Celebrates Golden Jubilee

HSS UK (Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh)  is a social/cultural national organisation of Hindus and a registered charity, with average weekly attendance of over 2000 (nationally).

2016 marks the Golden Jubilee of HSS UK.

We would like to personally invite you and your family to participate in this historic and a unique event - Samarop (concluding function) of Sanskrti – MAHASHIBIR 2016

From a very humble beginning in 1966, HSS UK has grown into a national organisation that we can be proud of, with over 110 Shakhas across the United Kingdom. During this period, our Swayamsevaks /Sevikas have played a leading role in various social activities.

We have ventured into diverse areas across the length and breadth of society including religious, cultural, social, educational, intellectual, student and legal fields. We have pioneered ‘Sewa’ both in spirit and organisation. These reflect some of the many dimensions we have contributed to.

The journey has had its fair share of challenges, yet we have flourished as we have continued to adapt and evolve with times. This year is the Golden Jubilee of the HSS UK. As a kick start to the yearlong celebrations, we have embarked upon organising an unprecedented residential gathering of over 2200 Hindus from across the UK and Europe from 29th to Sunday 31st July 2016 at Hertfordshire County Show Ground, near Luton.

The venue will be transformed into a fully tented (over 400 tents) township, building all facilities and amenities. The theme of this historic gathering is Sanskaar (values of life), Sewa (selfless service) and Sangathan (community spirit). Every effort is made to use recyclable materials in the construction of site and activities (avoiding plastic materials). The idea is to generate awareness of environmental sustainability in the participants, majority of whom will be youths. Number of prominent personalities from world over will be visiting the event to address & interact with the participants.

This gathering will give us all a once in a lifetime opportunity to share moments of joy and to seek inspiration to contribute towards a better future for Hindu Samaj.

What is Sanskriti ?

Sanskriti is the largest gathering of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in the world to date and it’s happening here in the UK. Come and experience the ‘spirit of sangh’ as we reflect on the journey since 1966 and focus ourselves for our future.

Sanskriti is not just any gathering – this is a MahaShibir. Imagine over 2200 people living together as one family, playing, singing, discussing, planning and focusing ourselves for the coming years.

Sanskriti presents the very best of Sangh, from khel and yoga to baudhik and charcha.

Register your place at Sanskriti and catch up with your Sangh friends, past and present from around the world.
